HOW MUCH DID BIGG BOSS CHANGE YOUR LIFE?
Bigg Boss has given me my identity back. Ever since I have been on television, people always knew me for the character I played in a series. Bigg Boss changed that. When people saw me day in and day out for five months, unadulterated, they started connecting with the real me. That’s when they started knowing me. I feel that’s what Bigg Boss has given me. And I am highly grateful.
YOU’VE PICKED UP SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS ALL YOUR LIFE. AND BIGG BOSS SURE WAS ANOTHER BIG WINNER. TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROCESS OF CHOOSING A PROJECT.
You know it’s wonderful to get the love of the audience, because that’s exactly what you are aiming for. But at the same time, when you pick a project your thoughts don’t stray towards the fact that it might not work. Whichever project we take up, we expect it to be the best. The first thing I think of before choosing a project is whether it’ll excite me as a viewer or not. And when I’m convinced I’d love to watch it everyday I sign on the dotted line. Like for the music videos I signed after Bigg Boss, my only thought was whether I’d like to listen to these songs on a loop during a long drive. You know everyone puts their best foot forward and it’s always great to be at the receiving end of so much love.
VIKRANT MASSEY’S CHARACTER WAS LOVED BY ONE AND ALL IN THE BROKEN BUT BEAUTIFUL SEASON 1 AND 2. YOU ARE TAKING ON AS THE LEAD OF THE SHOW NOW. DOES THAT INCREASE THE PRESSURE OF DELIVERING ON SCREEN?
