Sonakshi Sinha’s sexiness lies in her spunk, believes Rahul Gangwani
Twenty million fans on Facebook, 6.83 million followers on Twitter and 3.6 million followers on Instagram, make Sonakshi Sinha one of the most influential celebrities in showbiz. The poster girl of commercial blockbusters has now become a youth icon because of her sass and sway on social media. While her peers pride over their rein over the multiplex audiences, she’s the true blue heroine of the single screens. Her popularity reaching the remotest interiors of the country. What’s remarkable is that she’s not tried to fit in; rather she’s created her own space in a cut-throat world that writes you off as easily as it woos you. Rub off all the glitter that surrounds her and Sona’s just a regular girl, someone who wants to throw off the baggage of stardom and go backpacking on alien shores...
What movies do you now want to do?
I’m sticking to my last year’s resolution of doing roles that challenge my potential. (Laughs) I believe I have it and apparently everybody else also knows that.
How do you feel when you see your rivals doing good work?
It’s motivating. I believe you should surround yourself with people who are doing incredible stuff. Competition motivates you. But I’ve never been a cut-throat competitor. I mind my own business. I don’t care about what others are doing. But I believe anything that inspires you is good.
Would you pick up the phone and ask a director for a role?
