GRANDSON OF THE LATE RAJ KAPOOR, AADAR JAIN, MADE HIS DEBUT WITH QAIDI BAND. RAGHUVENDRA SINGH CHATS WITH THE NEWCOMER
Aadar Jain is Raj Kapoor’s grandson. He’s the younger son of Rima Jain (Raj Kapoor’s younger daughter) and businessman Manoj Jain. His elder brother, Armaan Jain, debuted with Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014). Recently, 22-year-old Aadar also made his debut with Yash Raj Films’ Qaidi Band, directed by Habib Faisal. The movie may not have done well at the box-office but that hasn’t stymied the newcomer. Failures happen. They are the stepping stone to success. That's what the actor believes.
Aadar has only good memories about his debut. He was hooked when Habib Faisal narrated the script of Qaidi Band. While doing the film, he was taken aback when he discovered lesser known truths about prisoners – that most of them weren’t convicted rather they were just facing trials. They were languishing in jail because they didn’t have the money for bail. Apart from enriching his world view, Habib Faisal had many more influences on Aadar. He reveals, “Habib sir reminds me of my grandfather, Raj Kapoor. He’s such a multi-faceted person. He can be a taskmaster. But his eye for detail is phenomenal.”
