For Italian designer Luisa Beccaria, fashion’s a family affair. Inviting HELLO! to an opulent 18th-century mansion in the center of Paris, where two of her daughters are modeling some of her latest pieces, she tells us: “From the day they were born, all five of my children absorbed my creativity.”
Her daughter Lucilla, 34, is also head of development of the label’s ready-to-wear range and co-designer with Luisa – who’s also mum to Lucrezia, 31, Ludo, 28, Luna, 24, and Luchino, 19. The label’s clients include stars s such as Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman, and Madonna.
“When my children were little, I’d take them with me to my fashion shows in Paris and New York because I didn’t want to leave them behind,” says
Luisa, who showed her new collection at Milan Fashion Week recently, and lives with her husband, Lucio Bonaccorsi, at his family’s 18th-century castle in Sicily.
