The Queen Sends The Duchess Of Sussex Packing

Ever since Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, slipped a three-carat Cleave and Company diamond ring on Meghan Markle’s finger in 2017, the former American actress has gone out of her way to gloss over her strained relationship with Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. ‘She’s been wonderful,’ Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, claimed in a post-engagement interview broadcast all over the world.

And even though multiple sources have revealed that the two women have bitterly clashed over everything, from whom Queen Elizabeth II favours more to who’s more adored by the public, Meghan’s made sure to smile for the cameras each time she’s around her sister-in-law. (Hey, she was an actress after all!) Nevertheless, says a source, ‘Kate and Meghan’s feud continues to draw negative attention to the royal family.’

THE CROWN STEPS IN

The Queen herself has even had to intervene, going into ‘crisis management mode’, the source spills. Though Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, had originally planned to relocate from the modest Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace to the more grand Apartment 1 – next door to Apartment 1A, where Kate, 37, and her husband Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, 36 (Harry’s brother) live – the Queen put a stop to it, fearing the awful fights that might transpire between the sisters-in-law.
