Suresh Menon, well-known cinematographer, producer, director, writer and actor of Kollywood, is probably a pioneer in giving women their due. Firstly, his National Award-winning English/ Hindi film ‘Mitr’, was the first all-women’s film directed by his ex-wife Revathy.

More recently, concerned about the health and hygiene of rural women who use open fields to ease themselves and bathe outdoors, Suresh conceived and created toilets for women by using a shipping container.
