Catching Up With Matt Cedeño

Even Matt Cedeño finds it hard to believe that two decades have passed since he made his DAYS debut as Brandon Walker. “Twenty years ago, I was just a little doe-eyed dude from Washington state that had no idea what to expect,” recalls the actor. “I still remember those days vividly. It never ceases to amaze me how fast time goes by. I think I first started [taping] DAYS in May of ’99 and it just blows my mind. It’s so crazy!”

These days, Cedeño is thrilled to be one of the movers and shakers on AMBITIONS, playing a fashion mogul who catches the eye of designing woman Bella — and her mother, Inez. “I think that’s sort of the nature of soaps: You put a bunch of attractive people in a room and see what happens,” he chuckles. “Inez wears her heart on her sleeve and wasn’t shy about expressing some attraction there initially, which I think Ignacio enjoyed — and was a little taken aback at her assertiveness.” Of his new alter ego, Cedeño notes, “Ignacio’s background is not only in the fashion industry. He’s a bit of a ladies’ man and he was also a professional race car driver. He lives a very unique and extravagant lifestyle.”
