Could Alexis Nearly Killing Julian Lead To A “Julexis” Rebirth On GH?
Just when it seemed like the bruised and battered relationship of Julian and Alexis couldn’t plunge any further, his attempt to stop her from driving drunk ends in her careening into him with her car.
According to William deVry (Julian), the accident takes place so quickly, “He doesn’t have any time to process it.” Neither does Alexis. “She feels guilt and horror and fear,” details Co-Head Writer Shelly Altman. “And the fact that it was Julian of all people that she hit, perhaps there’s even a part of her that thinks, ‘Well, of course, it was Julian!’ That’s the horrible, terrible irony, that she wants him out of her life and now, it appears she may, in fact, have arranged for that. I think everything happens so fast for her, she doesn’t really have time to do as much thinking as we are in analyzing the moment, but I think she would have to wonder if anybody could possibly believe that this was any kind of terrible accident,” as opposed to a deliberate attempt on his life.
Post-impact, reports deVry, “Julian is not conscious. And if weren’t for [Alexis] calling 911, he would definitely have died on the spot. But he’s able to make it to the hospital, at least.” While Alexis does have the presence of mind to summon an ambulance, she flees the scene before the paramedics and police arrive. Explains Co-Head Writer Jean Passanante, “She’s worried that she’s going to get caught and that she’ll never be able to practice law again as long as she lives— and that she’ll go to jail! She’s not thinking straight. Her judgment is impaired.” Concurs Altman, “It’s impulse, driven by fear — and alcohol, as well. Let’s not forget the alcohol.”
