(ex-Dr. Ben Stitch Rayburn, Y&R, 2013-17)
After hanging up his stethoscope as Y&R’s noble Dr. Ben Rayburn, Sean Carrigan booked some roles in prime-time and has three films set to premiere. First up is Confessions of an Exorcist, where Carrigan plays a doctor once again. “My character is an ophthalmologist who loses his wife to a paranormal force, and is now doing everything he can to protect his daughter from the same fate,” he shares. “I’m actually the second lead behind Nick Gonzalez from THE GOOD DOCTOR.”
Next is a coming-of-age tale called Low Low. “That one is awesome,” Carrigan enthuses. “It’s about four high school girls growing up in low-income households, and I play the deadbeat boyfriend of one of the girls’ mothers.” That will be followed by Ernesto’s Manifesto, which Carrigan describes as “a ridiculous romantic comedy in the vain of Nacho Libre meets Forrest Gump. In this one, I’m the antagonist, a jealous, arrogant boyfriend.”
Carrigan also has a part to play in the big-budget movie Ford v. Ferrari, in which he co-stars with Christian Bale and Matt Damon. “I’m playing a race car driver named Walt Hansgen, a real Formula racer, who is no longer with us,” he explains. “The story is when Ford raced Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans Race and there are going to be some very cool racing sequences.”
