Sharon points out that it may be a long process ahead but promises to be there for them every step of the way. “Sharon’s support means the world to Tessa,” says Cait Fairbanks (Tessa). “She’s never had a close family, or even a mother figure. She knows that she’s hurt and disappointed Sharon before, so to have someone love Tessa unconditionally, aside from Mariah, is something quite wonderful. This gives hope to Tessa about parenting because Sharon is a great example to follow.”

Marlena cautions her friend that she's too focused on Abe remembering his past and worries it will alienate him. Marlena advises her to accept the fact that he may never regain all his memories. Meanwhile, John is thrown when Abe confides he wants to get a divorce from Paulina. Abe fears she'll always be disappointed that he doesn't remember their past and feels she'd be better off with someone else. However, John gets Abe to realize he isn't so ready to let her go after all. Later, Abe and Paulina share a warm moment.
