If you’re still recovering from Them-beka’s (Masasa Mbangeni) sudden death, we don’t blame you. No one saw it coming – least of all the love of her life Quinton (Brighton Ngoma). The queen of vindictive schemes is dead and from what we’ve been told, for good. Despite her drama over the years, we can’t help but feel a tinge of sadness at the loss. But we’re not the only ones grieving. Quinton, having just watched his love die in his arms, is now a broken man.
Mthunzi (Bongile Mantsai) felt betrayed by his business partner Thembeka, who wanted to help Quinton out of his financial predicament. “Mthunzi swore revenge on Quinton. He wanted Quinton dead to reciprocate the hurt that Thembeka caused him,” says Brighton. “He felt the best way to break her heart was to kill Quinton while she watched.” Clearly things didn’t go according to plan and following a tussle, a single gunshot claimed the life of the woman viewers have loved to hate.
