Jesinta Franklin - My Life As A New Mum

It’s been more than 10 years since Jesinta Franklin took out the Miss Universe Australia title and became a household name, but a decade later life is looking very different for the model. The 29-year-old welcomed her first child, daughter Tullulah, with husband Lance “Buddy” Franklin in February and recently opened up about her first few months as a new mum.

“The highs are high and the lows are low, but I just love being Tullulah’s mum,” Franklin shared in a recent interview with Body+Soul magazine.

Her motherhood journey started off a little differently, thanks to the pandemic, with Franklin forced to self-isolate for the first five months of Tullulah’s life due to strict AFL protocols for Buddy, 33. And the model has admitted it was definitely a struggle not having help with the newborn.

“I didn’t have any family support,” she shared of those initial months. “Being a new mum is isolating enough without [the added pressure of ] a pandemic.”
