The awkward pre-teen is long gone. Now Millie Bobby Brown is claiming her spot on the red carpet with her glamorous transformation for the much-anticipated premiere of the fourth season of Stranger Things in New York.

But growing up in the spotlight hasn't always been easy for the British actress, who plays telekinetic Eleven in the hit Netflix sci-fi series.

After turning 18 earlier this year, she spoke out on The Guilty Feminist podcast about the "gross" sexualisation she had been dealing with throughout her career as she navigated all the normal pitfalls of adolescence.

"I deal with the same things any 18-yearold is dealing with, navigating being an adult and having relationships and friendships, and it's all of those things," she said.
