WILL & JADA TRYING TO MOVE ON

If Will Smith hoped his Oscars scandal would quickly disappear, then he's out of luck. In the days after the actor, 53, stormed the stage at the Academy Awards on March 26 to deliver an open-handed slap across Chris Rock's face, his actions continue to dominate headlines, putting his future in doubt and his marriage under the spotlight.

The day after the attack, the Academy condemned his violent act and opened an investigation. While the review is expected to last several weeks, the outcome may yet see Smith being forced to hand back his Best Actor award for King Richard. He has also resigned from the Academy, and production on Bad Boys 4 and other projects has been paused or halted.

“[Smith's] regarded with enormous respect," a source told People magazine. "He has worked hard, and he championed this project, which is an extraordinary story, and his portrayal is Oscar-worthy. But this taints everything, and that's unfortunate. To see that display of behaviour on the global stage. That's what he'll be remembered for."
