WITH A NEW FILM AND HOT ROMANCE ON THE GO, THE ACTRESS’ STAR POWER DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT’S DIMMING ANYTIME SOON

Between the many Disney diehards, Marvel maniacs and Euphoria evangelists, Zendaya Stoermer Coleman aka Zendaya (she dropped the rest early on in her career to be “cool, like Cher or Prince”) already has quite the fan club. And that’s before you even begin to count the fashion lovers who have become devotees of the actress’ style on and off the red carpet.

The 24-year-old was a star in the making years before she said goodbye to her beloved Disney character on KC Undercover in 2018. And it didn’t take long before Hollywood recognised her as such, with Zendaya becoming the youngest woman to ever win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in Euphoria last September. “In a lot of ways it feels like proving something to myself personally,” the actress told GQ magazine of the win. “It’s very cool. And I think to an extent it does help a little bit in the sense of maybe creating or getting the things that I want to get.”

It’s clear Zendaya has her eyes set firmly on the future, with her golden statuette helping to solidify her place amongst Hollywood’s best and brightest. But while it seems she was born to be in front of the camera, a career in acting certainly wasn’t always on the cards.
