Are We Ready For A Ubiquitous Computing Future?

Instead of being tied to specific devices or platforms, people will be able to connect, communicate, and compute using various devices. This means a unified user experience regardless of whether you’re using a computer terminal, tablet, smartphone, smart TV, smartwatch, or even a car infotainment system. This is because everything will be a potential terminal accessing a more powerful cloud-based and machine-learning computer.

Distributing the world’s computing power

Right now, smartphones, tablets, and computers serve as our computing devices.

They sit idly in our pockets, bags, or desks until we need them to connect, help us communicate, and do the work.

With ubiquitous computing, we will always be connected; there will be multiple contact points or terminals and the cloud—not a processor in your device—will do all the heavy lifting in terms of computing and calculations.
