Verniece Enciso has always loved art and dressing up, but it was her sister, Vern, who inspired her to start her own blog. She saw and loved what her sister has done, and wanted do it herself as well. “It was more of a photo diary and an outlet for what I love doing,” Verniece says about her first blog.
Two years later, the sisters would merge their blogs and create V <3 V: A Blog by Vern & Verniece Enciso (vernverniece.com). This little dreamy nook on the World Wide Web would eventually turn into a source of inspiration for its followers, many of whom are girls who admire Verniece and her sister, to live their life to the fullest and make their dreams—big and small—come true.
OUT OF HER COMFORT ZONE
V <3 V: A Blog by Vern & Verniece Enciso is a travel, life, style, and personal blog. According to Verniece, she and her sister hope to encourage their readers to get out of the four walls of their rooms and step out of their comfort zones.
“It’s a blog that desires to impart lessons that we’ve learned in our 22 and 21 years of existence,” adds Verniece.
What were the challenges that you encountered when you first started blogging?
Six years ago, people weren’t aware of blogging at all. I’ve experienced a lot of criticisms and doubts but that didn’t stop me. It motivated me more. [I] strived to create better content every day and I’m glad I did.
That’s the spirit. What do you love the most about blogging?
It opened a lot of doors for me and made me change for the better. I grew up joining in ice skating competitions, which entailed a lot of focus and hard work, so I was always confined in the four walls of the rink. I spent most of my time after school training so I used to have a hard time socializing and going out of my comfort zone. Blogging helped me learn to do that. My favorite part though would have to be that I’ve met some of the most amazing people out there and I’m so lucky to get to interact with the sweetest readers.
How often do you post on your site?
[My sister and I] try to blog as often as we could but we believe in quality over quantity now so we only put out work that we’re proud of.
What are your tips for aspiring bloggers out there?
Don’t listen to that little voice saying you can’t. Step out of your comfort zone and go for it. Always think twice before you post. Never do it just for the money. Be creative and blog only about what you truly believe in.
