Quinoa (pronounced Keen-wah), is a gluten free “whole grain”, that cooks quickly.
Why the quotation marks you ask? Well, quinoa is not an actual whole grain, it is a seed. The reason it is still referred to as a grain is because of the nature of how it is cooked like one. The most common quinoa you will find are red, black, and white. White quinoa is known to cook more fluffy like a rice and stick together more, whereas back and red quinoa will have a bit more of a crunchier texture and stay separated.
