Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams plays another formidable fighter in a new Sky One comedy

Action woman

We last saw Maisie Williams as assassin Arya Stark in the final episode of Game of Thrones, sailing away from Westeros after killing the Night King and helping to restore peace to the Seven Kingdoms.

This week, Williams swaps her trusty sword for a gun in Sky One’s six-parter Two Weeks to Live, a darkly comic tale of love and revenge in which she plays Kim Noakes, a young misfit who was just a little girl when her father was murdered.

Following her dad’s death at the hands of crime boss Jimmy Davies (Sean Pertwee), Kim’s mother Tina (Fleabag’s Sian Clifford) feared for her daughter’s safety and spirited the six-year-old away to a remote life off-grid in the Scottish wilderness, while training her in deadly combat.

As the series opens, Kim is now 21 and sets off into the real world on a secret mission to honour her father’s memory and experience everything she’s missed out on. However, things soon become complicated when she meets hapless brothers Nicky (Mawaan Rizwan) and Jay (Taheen Modak).
