The sports quiz that makes A Question of Sport look like Mastermind, the brilliantly bonkers A League of Their Own is celebrating its 15th series.
The panel show, in which the red and blue teams answer questions, attempt crazy challenges and relentlessly take the mickey out of each other, kicked off back in 2010, with James Corden hosting and Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp as team captains.
Fourteen series, four road trips, plus umpteen Christmas specials and ‘best of ’ and ‘unseen bits’ compilations later, the show returns this week, with Romesh Ranganathan on hosting duties, and the ever-present Flintoff and Redknapp joined by the likes of tennis star Sir Andy Murray and Countryfile host Helen Skelton.
To mark this momentous occasion, here’s a reminder why Sky One’s long-running sports-based comedy panel game really is in a league of its own…
