Kit Harington is famous around the world now, thanks his to his career-defining role as Jon Snow in American fantasy saga Game of Thrones.
But the London-born actor has come back home to the UK to star in a very personal British drama about his ancestor Robert Catesby, the brains behind the infamous Gunpowder plot of 1605.
Shot in Yorkshire, the three-part series tells the captivating story of Catesby and his fellow Catholics, facing persecution under King James I’s Protestant rule, hatching the most famous assassination plan in our nation’s history.
