TV Times is chatting via video link to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and How I Met Your Mother star about her role in feel-good family film Flora & Ulysses, currently streaming on Disney+.

Based on Kate DiCamillo’s award-winning novel, the comedy-adventure follows 10-year-old Flora Buckman (newcomer Matilda Lawler), whose new-found friend – a plucky squirrel called Ulysses – suddenly develops superpowers after a near-fatal encounter with a vacuum cleaner.

Alyson plays Flora’s romance novelist mum, Phyllis, with Parks and Recreation star Ben Schwartz as Flora’s comic-book artist dad, George. Here, Alyson, 46, tells us more…
