The most attended summer festival came to an end on July the 24th, and it was not to be missed! Many big names in attendance, Manu Dibango, Yael Naim, Rachid Taha, Tabou Combo, Meiway, Moto Kapia, Veeby and the unforgettable Inna Modja.

The popular festival which gathered hundreds if not a thousand of world music lovers, more than 35 different artists from different country performing in approximately 110 various venues at the heart of Montreal. Celebrating the wonderful sounds of Africa by blowing out its 30th-anniversary candles, a few of the artists truly gave outstanding performances; 7 nights 7 artist showing off the motherland in all its splendor.

It means calling or emailing your point person for the evening about a week prior to the show and confirming every detail for the night: load in time and location, sound check time, parking, door time, show time, openers, compensation, drink/food deal, guest list spots, lodging situation, your day-of contact person’s cell phone number, who the front of house sound engineer is for the evening, who you should settle up with at the end of the night to get paid, and any other information they need to know about your night (VIP backstage hangs, extra lights you’re bringing in, seated or standing show).
