Rhona is in no mood to celebrate her birthday. With her recent hysterectomy having brought on the menopause, her hormones are all over the place.

She’s feeling less of a woman and certainly not worthy of being with her younger man, Pete. In her mind, Rhona thinks she is old, useless and washed up. And with Pete nursing her through her painful recovery, she feels like he’s her carer, not her boyfriend.
