Cook a classic Crème brûlée

50 MINUTES + CHILLING SERVES 4-6 EASY GF

  • egg yolks 5 (freeze the whites to use for making meringues or sour cocktails)
  • golden caster sugar 125g
  • double cream 450ml
  • vanilla bean paste 1 tsp

1 Heat the oven to 150C/fan 130C/gas 2 and put four large or six small ramekins into a deep baking tray. Boil the kettle.
