Before
When my sister asked me to be her bridesmaid in summer 2014, I knew it was time to do something about my weight. A size 18-20 at 14st, I’d tried all sorts of diets over the years, but they never worked. I’d always been big, and being a mum of two it was hard to find time to exercise, but with my sister’s wedding coming up, I was desperate to feel comfortable in a dress. ‘It’s time to step up my game,’ I said to my husband Stephen.
How
I signed up to fitness boot camps, and soon found my way to CrossFit classes. There, I took part in circuits made up of different workouts, but the one I excelled in was weight training. After a three months, I was lifting heavier weights than most of the other men and women in the class.
