B&B ITALIA
The Serie Up 2000 armchair, designed by Italian architect and designer Gaetano Pesce, is a metaphorical representation of a giant, comfortable womb inspired by ancient statues of fertility goddesses. The installation however came with a twist—a spherical ottoman tied to the armchair that depicted how women have always been unwilling prisoners of themselves. Website: www.bebitalia.com
APARTMENT9 OUTDOORS
This premium furniture, upholstery and home accessories brand prides itself in its ability to transform any space into a green cove. Its striking composition—comprising a chandelier, fireplace, and lamps—lay swamped amid nature. Elegant ficus, xanadu, and yucca plants along with exotic kalencho flowers metamorphosed this setting into a verdant getaway. Website: www.apartment9.in
JAIPUR RUGS
Interior designer Shantanu Garg collaborated with the rug company and conceptualised a fitting tribute to the latter’s efforts towards empowerment of artisans with Weaves on Wheels. This unique installation saw a medley of differently textured and patterned carpets in a single composition. The base—a vintage Ambassador car—portrayed the importance of ancient rug-making techniques. Website: www.jaipurrugs.com
