Flora Shedden Was Born to Host Gatherings and She Does So With Floral Flair. A Scottish Lass Who Believes in Growing Her Own, Flora Imparts a Breath of Fresh Air Into Hosting, With Modern Dishes to Elate
Flora Shedden is 21 and lives in Highland Perthshire, Scotland. This country girl says she’s no chef, but rather a home cook and food writer. She was the youngest ever semi-finalist of The Great British Bake Off in in 2015 and just can’t sit still. She’s recently joined a team of three presenters on a weekly food programme on BBC Radio Scotland, called The Kitchen Cafe, and she also pens the baking column in the Lifestyle supplement of Scotland’s The Sunday Telegraph.
Paging through Flora’s debut title, Gatherings – Recipes for feasts great and small, published by Mitchell Beazley, and reading her blog (florashedden.com), it’s as clear as the daylight shining through the pages that Flora’s the kind of person who stops to listen to the birds singing and admires the spring blossoms budding over the foot path.
