INSPIRATION
For this bespoke pattern, we studied the intoxicating dance of intricate patterns and contours which grace the earth when sunlight filters through jalis — a typical design element found on the walls of age-old Indian structures.
APPLICATION
A tessellation pattern that mimics the scale of this shadow play is custom designed for the living room. Inspired by the raw and organic imagery of the jali, an earth-inspired color palette becomes the ideal scheme for this contemporary space. The darker shade of this wall surface exudes a textural finish and matches the tactile, cool blue fabric of the sofa. The styling is kept minimal with a clear intention of focusing attention on the wall finish.
