Best Out Of Waste

The experimental and revolutionary office of inliving truly reflects the owner and architect’s vision to adopt the ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ principle.

Considering the current environmental scenario, being eco-friendly is not just a trend to follow, but also the need of the hour. Adopting such a stance is the office of InLiving, situated in IHDP Business Park, Noida. This conscientious 7,500 sq. ft. workplace is owned by director Ashish Gupta and designed by Ar. Vistasp Bhagwagar, Principal Architect and Managing Director of Architect Vistasp & Associates (AVA).

The USP of this project arises from the brief, wherein one adopts the essence of green buildings: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The architect and director had jointly brainstormed for weeks before coming to the conclusion, which Ashish articulates as, “Effort and not money would be put in to exploring ways in which they can together work upon and design an office that is made of ‘Reused and Recycled’ objects. The office would reduce its dependence on conventional materials and typologies, and instead explore alternate materials and techniques in achieving the same end results. The unique aspect of this project is the search for alternate materials and the emphasis on sustainability rather than superficiality.”

Starting with this theme is the main entrance door, which is made of recycled wood. The reception area is akin to a gallery-cum-coffee shop rather than a conventional office reception area.
