Osage County has been home to many great cowboys, and you can get to know the best of them right in Pawhuska, at the Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum. Local historian and entrepreneur Cody Garnett founded the museum as a tribute to native son and Hollywood actor Ben Johnson, the only cowboy to ever win both a World Rodeo Championship and an Academy Award. (He took home an Oscar for The Last Picture Show in 1972.) Other exhibits pay homage to local rodeo champs, Western artists, early ranchers—and even to Ree. Take a look!
