Five-minute journalling is a wellbeing trend in the US right now. Just spend five minutes twice a day – morning and evening – reflecting on paper about questions relating to happiness, like, “What would make today great?” or “What could have made today better?”.

Some of your answers will help you to realise how good your life already is, while others will give you perspective on actions to help make improvements.

“It is a reminder that you have the power to change the things in your life,” says UJ Ramdas from Intelligent Change, creators of The Five Minute Journal app.
