For the longest time, teaching has been confined to four-walled classrooms, blackboards, chalks and books. Thanks to the pandemic, education systems across the world were forced to embrace a sudden paradigm shift to remote learning. With educational institutes taking the digital route since the lockdown in India, teachers and students alike are trying to adapt to e-learning. Cujira-based Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School (MAHSS) is no different.
The institute is not only known to train its students in the core subjects of physics, chemistry, maths and biology, but also prepare them for national-level competitive exams, including IIT JEE Advance, IIT JEE Mains, BITSAT, VITTEEE, MIT, AIIMS, NEET, etc. Its intense academic structure puts students on the pedestal to be future researchers and scientists.
The peculiarity of MAHSS is that its syllabus for Class 11 and 12 usually starts with basic NCERT concepts and then escalates to the Mains and Advance level for engineering aspirants. For medical aspirants, the syllabus progresses to NEET-level concepts. Special study material is provided, categorised into Basic and Advance sections.
While 60-70 per cent of the material is completed in class, the remaining is considered homework that is continuously monitored by mentors. This way, the school manages to cover 10-12 times more than other higher secondary schools that teach only the NCERT syllabus.
Despite such a complex academic schedule, Mushtifund Aryaan and its Margao centre called Gurukul has managed the sudden shift to online learning quite effectively.
