They say love is in the little things...Things that keep you happy and together! At The Lalit Mumbai, the charming couple, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu, share their stories of love, adventure, travel and fitness, and tell us about those tiny things they do together every day to keep the spark alive...
Each love story is unique in its own way, and Kunal’s and Soha’s story is no different. When the two confessed their love for each other to the world, everyone wondered how an elegant Oxford girl and an easy-going actor got together with such ease. In a candid chat at The Lalit Mumbai, a peaceful oasis for business and leisure travellers, the lovely couple talks about who popped the ‘big’ question and where, their fondest memories from their extensive travels and experiences from around the world, how marriage hasn’t changed the way they look at each other, their relationship, and much more.
You got engaged in the city of love, Paris…
Soha I was very surprised when Kunal suddenly popped the question because it was totally unexpected. I think he waited for me to think it was never going to happen. But, the good thing is that we were both very happy with where we were in our relationship. It was the perfect location – the Eiffel Tower. The best part was that we could celebrate with our friends afterwards.
Kunal I am not known to be the most romantic person, but this was the filmiest decision I have ever made. To give you a little background, Soha and I had been dating for almost seven years and although we had planned to visit Paris before, it had never happened. When it finally did happen, I thought to myself, why not make it romantic and propose at the Eiffel Tower? I thought it would make for a great story.
You’ve been married for almost two years now. How has it been so far?
