Thousands of football supporters will be able to watch matches in next month’s Euros at a Glasgow fan zone after it was given a provisional green light by the Scottish Government.

Large screens will be put up at Glasgow Green, which will host up to 6000 people per day.

The zone will open for the 31 days of Euro 2020, which kicks off on June 11. Tickets for all match sessions are free and will be available to book from today through the Euro 2020 Glasgow website.

The Scottish Government said it has approved plans for the largely seated outdoor space “subject to the state of the pandemic nearer the time”.
