TOP trainer Dan Skelton is fearful the coronavirus pandemic will have a lasting impact on the racing industry.

National Hunt yards like his had an early end to the jumps season and trainers scrapped plans to run horses at big meetings such as Aintree and Ayr.

With all racing fixtures on hold while businesses continue to operate at a reduced level, Skelton is worried for some industry pros.

He said: “There is no question that there will be casualties.
