GUNNAR SOLSKJAER'S job hangs by a thread after his Manchester United flops hit a new low on a shambolic afternoon at Watford.

The under-fire United boss looked on painfully as they were handed a hiding by Hornets and then faced supporters at the final whistle who made it clear they want him gone.

It is United's biggest defeat against a promoted side since 1989.

Solskjaer, whose cause wasn't helped when captain Harry Maguire was sent off in the second half. said: “I feel for the fans. I feel the same as them, we're embarrassed losing the way we did. We are in a very bad run and bad situation but that's part of football.

"The results are not good enough, we know that.
