New Delhi: While Delhi already had a much higher percentage of electric vehicles on the roads in September-November than across the country, the numbers might just rise higher. Delhi government is going to put up 600 more public EV charging points in the city by June next year. This will make nearly a thousand EV public charging points in Delhi.
EVs accounted for 9%, or 9,540, of the vehicles sold in Delhi from September to November against the national average of 1.6%. Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has set a target of 25% of vehicles sold in Delhi being EVs by 2024.
