The modern fitness trainers would say “Cross training is the best” or “Zumba is best”.
So, obviously the question would be “What should we follow?”
In olden days man consumed what was available or what was cultivated in his environment. And he preferred what is cooked at home, based on his food habits and cultural background. And he lived an active lifestyle. He walked a lot and was physically active. He predominantly lived in stress-free environment and was emotionally well-balanced. Overall the environment, food habits based on the cultural background and lifestyle kept the man healthy. So, there was no necessity for him to ask questions like, “What is the ideal diet or what is the ideal exercise?”.
All of us know that our lifestyle is no more active now. We have been performing multiple tasks with overloaded stress. Our emotional quotient is wavery at times. We have multiple options in terms of physical activity or food; either we deprive ourselves in the name of laziness or overdo out of enthusiasm or overeat out of greed or do things beyond the needs and capacity.
