KYLE JAMIESON: RCB bought the New Zealand pacer for a whopping Rs. 15 crore in the 2021 auction. Although his performance was inconsistent, and he took only 9 wickets in 7 matches, his impressive performance against India and impeccable test form made him an expected expensive buy. Overall, he turned out to be an average purchase for RCB and even became a meme material during the IPL.
GLENN MAXWELL: The Australian all-rounder was purchased by RCB for a hefty Rs. 14.25 crore in the 2021 auction. Maxwell, who was in his prime during this period, delivered for RCB with 512 runs in the 2021 season and 301 runs in the following 2022 season. He concentrated more on his batting than his bowling and picked up only 9 wickets in the combined season. He was, by far, the best among RCB's expensive buys over the years.
