Everything Nokia Unveiled At Mobile World Congress 2018
Nokia has unveiled four new additions to its smartphone portfolio at Mobile World Congress 2018 – the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, new Nokia 6 and Nokia 1 – tipped to offer enhanced strength and performance.
The iconic – and reloaded – Nokia 8110 was also revealed, with the slider feature phone now equipped with 4G connectivity, Google Assistant, Google Maps, Facebook and more.
In conjunction with the products’ unveiling, HMD Global announced it will be the first global partner to have a full suite of devices selected in to the Android One programme by Google.
Shipping with Android Oreo, Nokia claims the pure Android installation will remove the need for “unnecessary UI changes” which would “eat up battery life”, resulting in increased storage space.
HMD Global affirms the new products’ follow a “huge year” for Nokia in 2017, with over 70 million phones shipped globally.
