Sonakshi Sinha attended her friend’s wedding in Hua Hin Islands in Thailand and in the bargain also got a chance to visit Sydney. She tells Raghuvendra Singh about this double deal.
Sonakshi Sinha believes she’s a nomadic soul. She’s always game to exploring new places; seeing new things, enjoying new experiences. Right from childhood, she had this spirit of adventure. But when the family went on vacations abroad, her father, actor Shatrughan Sinha, didn’t like stepping out of the hotel. So when she began her career as an actor, she made it a point to stay back and explore the locations she happened to visit.
She has also taken a liking for impulsive getaways. She recently visited the Hua Hin Islands, the oldest Thai holiday spot, three hours away from Bangkok, to attend friend Sakshi Mehra’s wedding. “Hua Hin is a beautiful place. I spent three days at my friend’s wedding. They had invited only some 200 guests and while I did the ‘selfie requests’ on the first day, the next two days I was left alone to enjoy myself.” She mentions she could also indulge in applying mehndi on her hands as she wasn’t shooting those days. She enjoyed the beach nuptials.
“The bride came to the venue in a boat. It seemed just like a fairy-tale wedding. It started raining but the ceremonies weren’t halted. They got married in the rain. They believe it’s a sign of good luck.”
