CANDLER PARK FALL FESTIVAL

What: On Oct. 5 and 6, Candler Park Fall Festival will be humming with music and a market highlighting local artists.

The lowdown: Grab a picnic blanket, sprawl out on the rolling green of Candler Park and take in the tunes. Tere’s also a 5K and fun run and a tour of homes.

Best part: It’s free.

ATLANTA PRIDE CELEBRATION

What: The 49th annual Pride celebration, Oct. 11-13, is a weekend dedicated to uniting and celebrating the LGBTQ community.

The lowdown: The Atlanta Pride Parade caps the weekend. It starts at the Civic Center MARTA Station and goes north, ending at Piedmont Park. Other events include the Trans March and the Dyke March, which focus on the trans community and empowerment of women, respectively.
