The mast mast girl. The outspoken diva. Bold and beautiful. Raveena Tandon Thadani is one star who you can never ignore and whose tell-it like-it-is attitude always pulls in one and all. She opens her doors for us.
Raveena has captivated numerous hearts over the years with her moves on the big screen, but her fans are just as enamoured with the real ‘her’, as they are with the reel ‘her’. We caught up with the vivacious star at her Mumbai home on a relaxing Friday afternoon. Modern, rich, sprawling, laid-back and liberally green are words that come to mind as you step into the Thadani home. And this is not incidental. Raveena has emphatically worked towards infusing this easy-going yet lush, timeless yet modern appeal into her home space. “While decorating my home, my brief to myself was to create richly layered rooms that blend serious style and playful individualism. To achieve this, I harmoniously unified the old and the new. Giving older forms a striking, modern twist is my own recipe for design-success!” says the actress.
Baroque Boldness
Decked up in warm shades of gold and red, the ‘free-flowing’ living room allows for a lot of movement between the furniture and décor pieces. Its high windows help beams of natural light filter in, making the space light up with life and laughter. Raveena celebrates the rich and diverse culture that is synonymous with India. “It’s not as difficult as it sounds and it makes your space look beautiful,” she says. Traditional touches and symbols scattered throughout, lend the space an eclectic vibe.
