There's no doubt that eating clean can be a great way to boost your natural beauty. Simran Ahuja lists some nutrients to add to your beauty routine
There’s another reason to load your cart up with superfoods on your next grocery run. Not only are they a great addition to your salad, they’re equally potent in your face mask. Their texture and nutrient density makes ingredients like quinoa, avocados, and acai berries natural protectors against dry skin, dark circles, and limp hair. We have six easy home remedies that fold in the goodness of these trendy foods.
SUPPLE & SQUEAKY CLEAN
Avocados are packed with vitamins C and E, and essential fatty acids, making them perfect for face masks. They leave your skin feeling plumped up and hydrated. You can double the impact by teaming avocados with activated charcoal. This popular beauty product absorbs all the oil, dirt, and impurities from your face, and acts as a detoxifying agent. Together, avocados and carbon work to nourish and cleanse your skin.
WHAT YOU NEED
1/2 avocado
2 capsules of activated charcoal
LET’S DO THIS
Blend the half avocado as finely as you can, so there are no large chunks.
Break open the activated charcoal capsules and empty contents into your avocado mixture.
Mix well the two ingredients together till the colour of the paste changes to black.
Spread a thin layer of the paste on your face, and allow it to dry before you wash it off. Any paste left over can be stored overnight and you can use it the next day.
