Resort to all-natural DIY mango recipes to fight sun damage and enjoy this seasonal fruit to its best, says Shruti Shukla
As the summer sun paints the season in all things yellow, bright and juicy mangoes are bound to flood the street carts. While eating this sweet and succulent delight is highly anticipated, there’s more to the fruit than just its delicious flesh. A treasure trove of nutrition, mangoes are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that offer abundant beauty benefits. Look beyond those delectable milkshakes and tarts, and incorporate them in your self-care regime to get the most out of them.
Topical application of mango can help in keeping the skin and hair nourished, diminish
blemishes, fight the signs of ageing, and remove sun tan. From pulp to its peel and seed, everything can be utilised to craft a natural and chemicalfree beauty regime with these quick and easy DIY recipes.
BODY SCRUB
For brighter looking skin
Dirt and pollution tend to take a toll on your skin, making it look dry and dull. Exfoliation is essential to get rid of the dead skin and moisturise the body in order to bring back its natural glow. The circular motion of scrubbing promotes blood circulation. If you find store-bought body scrubs harsh for your sensitive skin, opt for this DIY mango scrub to get the best out of your exfoliation routine.
To use:
Step 1: Scoop out half a cup of mango pulp.
Step 2: Mash the mango flesh and mix in two tablespoons of coconut oil.
Step 3: Add two tablespoons of raw sugar, and five to seven drops of orange essential oil to the mixture.
