RECENT reports of the alleged sexual assault of 87 children at a Soweto school have shocked South Africans and left parents worried about the safety of their children in schools. This after a six-year-old from AB Xuma Primary School spoke out about being sexually assaulted by a 56-year-old security guard at the school. This has allegedly been happening since February.

SCHOOLS ARE NOT SAFE

Within days of the learner’s confession, it came to light that 86 other learners had suffered at the hands of the guard, who has since been arrested.
