It’s been just over a year since Kelly Preston passed away following her secret breast cancer diagnosis, and her husband John Travolta has taken time away from the spotlight to grieve.

Sources say the actor, 67, has told close friends he will “one day be open to dating again”, after his wife made him promise to live the rest of his life to the fullest.

But in the meantime, as he comes to terms with his devastating loss, an insider tells Woman’s Day that

John has struck up a “beautiful friendship” in the most unlikely of places – in Australia, with fellow bereaved spouse Terri Irwin.

TOUCHING FIRST MEET

John and Terri, 57, first met in 2007, when he presented a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award to her on behalf of her late husband, “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, at a G’Day USA gala in LA.

A year later, Terri and her daughter Bindi joined John for dinner at a Wildlife Warriors benefit in New York.
