MY GOAL IS TO GET ORANGUTANS OFF THE ENDANGERED®S SPECIES LIST!

Jack Dalton has always loved orangutans. Why? Well, at first, it was because of something they have in common. "So I initially was interested in orangutans because of their red hair, but that wasn't what kept me interested," the New Hampshire native explains. "See, orangutans are such intelligent creatures and they share such a special relationship with their mothers. So, who they are and how intelligent their species was really what made me care for them." He cared for them so much that he created a new persona Kid Conservationist, which he uses to educate others about his favorite creature. Read all about Jack's work in our interview below!

AT: Hi, Jack! Can you explain what a conservationist is?

JD: The definition of a conservationist to me is somebody who works to protect our environment or to educate people. It's anybody who works to take action and inspire others to help our planet.

AT: How did you get started as Kid Conservationist?
