The automotive industry is an ever-evolving sector. Commercial playsets that include mobility toys remain an all-time favourite among children of all age groups. A recent sojourn of the Candytoy Corporate Pvt. Ltd. (CTC) mega manufacturing plant spanning over one lakh sq. ft. and employing about 1000 people in Indore, Madhya Pradesh is testimony. “Vehicle toys remain the favourite in the promotional toy category. We often receive repeat orders in this category from both domestic and international markets. All these products are priced less than rupees one, which makes them even more attractive and also highly valued for the margins sought by FMCGs,” averred Gaurav Mirchandani, Director, Candytoy Corporate Pvt. Ltd.
Buzzing with a lot of production and packaging activities, the lively manufacturing unit comprises a core manufacturing and assembly unit fed by sub-assembly units. It also boasts of a testing laboratory and packaging unit. It is noteworthy that women are a majority at the heart of it. Moreover, the Indore facility is just one of the six manufacturing plants owned by the CTC that boasts a production capacity of 10.5 mn tons per day. Maintaining strict quality control with over 250 machines spanning the manufacturing units in Indore, Delhi, and Hyderabad, India, as well as Jebel Ali in Dubai. The company has an additional 11 contract manufacturers in this value chain.
